I was born in Canada.
Where do you live?
I now live in Toronto, Ontario.

No.
Do you use a pen name?
Kiana Alexandria is my pen name, I use it to help differentiate between my children’s book and young adult novels.
What kind of writer are you?
Modern Day Laptop/PC Writer.
Name one book you loved as a kid - one you loved as a new adult - and one you love now.
- I loved Narnia by CS Lewis as child.
- Then as a young adult I loved City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.
- What I currently love right now is These Woven Kingdoms by Tahereh Mafi.
Is there an author you look up to? Or had an influence on your craft?
I am definitely inspired by Cassandra Clare, I feel in love with her shadow hunter world.
Another author I love is Kate Stewart, she is wonderful as invoking emotion into her work.
How would you describe your craft in one sentence
One big chaotic adventure.
At The Dreamer's Bookshop, we embrace diversity and advocate for invisible illnesses. How do you feel about those topics? Do you include messages in your writing?
I think diversity and advocating for invisible illnesses are super important. I wish they were talked about more.
While my book is fiction, there are themes inside it that talk about diversity and mental health.
Do you have red lines when it comes to writing/reading?
I personally don’t write spicy books. My goal was to write a fantasy novel without spice, so I would feel comfortable with my child reading it.

Which book are you most proud of and why?
My debut novel - Forged in Ruin and Turmoil.
I’ve been working on this book for quite sometime and the story line is one of my favourite.
What would you tell an aspiring writer?
Even when things gets hard and you feel like giving up.
Hold on, it’s all worth it.
What's a wish you have for yourself as an author?
I would love for my book to one day become a TV show.
What's a wish you have for yourself as a person?
Dream bigger ☺️
I think sometimes I make my dream small but with God everything is possible.
