Who is behind The Dreamer's Bookshop?
The Dreamer's Bookshop was founded by Chantal, an indie author herself. Having experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to get your book noticed, she created this shop with one mission: to help fellow indie authors turn their dream into reality. Every book in our shop has a story — and so does the person behind it.
What genres do you accept?
We welcome all genres — from fantasy and romance to literary fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and everything in between. We have a special place in our hearts for stories that shine a light on invisible illnesses and diversity, and we have a dedicated section in our shop to give these voices the attention they deserve.
Do you work with self-published authors?
Absolutely! The Dreamer's Bookshop was created with indie authors in mind. We believe every story deserves a chance to be discovered.
Consignment & Sales — Physical Books
How does consignment work?
You send us a small number of copies — usually between 1 and 5 per title — and we display them in our concept store. When a copy sells, you receive 60% of the sale price and we keep 40%. Low investment, no risk.
How do I send my books?
Once we agree to work together, we will send you detailed instructions on how to ship your books to us — at no extra cost to you.
What happens to unsold copies?
Unsold books remain on sale for as long as you wish. If you decide to stop, we won't send them back — instead, we'll find them a good home through a giveaway, a local second-hand bookshop, or a Little Free Library. Your books will always be treated with care.
Do I need to send a lot of copies?
Not at all. We work with a small number of copies per title because The Dreamer's Bookshop is a concept store, not a traditional bookshop. This keeps your investment low and makes your book feel special and curated.
Ebooks & Digital Sales
Can I also sell my ebook through The Dreamer's Bookshop?
Yes! We sell ebooks through our online store. For digital sales, we work with a 50/50 commission split — you receive 50% of each sale and we keep 50%. This covers the cost of the platform we use to deliver your ebook securely to readers. As digital sales grow, we aim to increase the share in favour of the author.
