Our Story

How do dreams come alive?

Because you realize you have to make it happen. Because you understand, you have to do the work.

So on July 20th, 2024, I realized I had to do something to get my books on physical shelves. And why not help other indie authors like me, too? That's how The Dreamer's Bookshop came to life. It wasn't in my plans, yet it must have been written somewhere. And that's the case for many wonderful things in life.

I suffered so many rejections, even locally (and I don't live in a metropolis), and that heartache and frustration turned into motivation and determination. If no one would give me a chance, I would create my own opportunity.

What We Stand For

And at the end of August 2024, The Dreamer's Bookshop was born:

Did you ever think about wandering through a magical forest? Filled with Indie books? All for you to discover, while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. Take your time, as the place is yours for one hour. Continue your journey, and discover bookish gifts. Made by other small businesses, most are woman-owned, like mine. The Dreamer's Bookshop. Because we all deserve to have a place of our own, Indie books, too.

Today, we work with independent authors from all over the world. All our bookish items are created by European small businesses (this one included), most of which are women.

The Dreamer's Bookshop embraces diversity and advocates for invisible illness. Why, because Chantal (the owner) is one of you, a neurodivergent trauma survivor and chronic pain warrior.
